Stack Installation


MBB Power Services Inc. successfully relocated IOL's F-851 Furnace which required 
five separate critical lifts in a live operating plant.  All critical lifts were completed 
using a single 500 ton hydraulic crane which also required working from crane manbaskets. 
A temporary work platform was erected on the stack at an elevation of 135' above grade 
to provide access for the welding of lifting lugs and high pressure water cutting of the 
refractory lined stack.  All work was completed ahead of schedule and without a single 
incident or first-aid.
